Alongside her is Tanner, who brings a fresh Gen-Z perspective and creative energy that beautifully complements Penny’s timeless artistry. With a relaxed, garden-inspired style and the same heart for serving others, Tanner adds a modern touch while carrying forward the care and intention that define Forget Me Not.

Meet Penny: Owner & Lead Designer

Penny is the owner and lead designer at Forget Me Not Floral Shoppe in Somerset, PA. Before becoming a florist, she spent over 25 years working as a mental health counselor. Her work was centered around listening, paying close attention to the details people shared, and understanding what they were truly trying to express.

She realized that this is exactly what many people struggle with when sending flowers. They don’t just want to send something beautiful, they want it to feel right for the person receiving it.

When customers call, Penny doesn’t start with a catalog. She starts with questions - about the recipient’s personality, their style, their favorite colors, and the relationship they share. Every arrangement is thoughtfully designed around that person and the meaning behind the gesture.

Her goal is simple: to help people express care, comfort, and celebration in a way that feels personal, never generic.

She’s especially grateful when someone says, “I don’t know what to send - I just want it to feel right.”

Meet Tanner: Florist

Tanner brings a fresh Gen-Z perspective and a whole lot of heart to every arrangement she creates.

Raised on a beef farm and no stranger to hard work, she found her love for flowers after spending summers babysitting and working in a garden nursery.

Her passion for nature shines through in her relaxed, garden-inspired style - effortlessly pairing modern creativity with Penny’s timeless artistry.

When she’s not designing, you’ll likely find her outside paddle boarding, hiking, or grabbing Moose Tracks ice cream with friends.

Her easygoing energy and genuine care for people make her a natural part of the Forget Me Not family.
